Anthony Myers with the Reading Royals - March 23rd

March 23, 2019 7:00pm - Game Time

A Party, A Tribute, and A Movement Forward

Hello, I’m Anthony Myers. In the Fall of 2018, at the age of 16, I was diagnosed with a high-grade glioma, a form of brain cancer. This experience led to an extraordinary outpouring of support, care, and concern for me along with the realization that life can present difficulties at any moment, in any form. On March 23, with the Reading Royals, I would like to pay tribute to those who have supported me and also raise funds for others who are experiencing difficult times. Here are the 3 key points for the event:

  1. $5 of every ticket sold through our link will be donated to others who are experiencing or combating medical difficulties.
  2. Ticket Link: Each school in Berks County will be represented on the ticket link. When buying tickets, use the dropdown box at the end, to select your school. The 4 schools with the highest number of tickets sold will be invited to participate in a dodgeball game during the Royals game. The semi-finals will be held on the ice, between periods 1 & 2, and the finals will be held between periods 2 & 3. Dodgeball on the ice…an experience to remember!
  3. We will be producing tribute videos (of you) to be shown at the event, with these 3 themes:
  • Your Heroes
  • Your Groups
  • You Living A Positive Life

You may submit a picture of your personal hero, your special group, and/or a positive life event. The pictures that we receive will be compiled and integrated into 3 tribute videos. Please submit your favorite picture(s) to: I hope to see you on March 23 in your Team17Strong shirt!

Sincerely, Anthony Myers
